A Lonely Day

A Lonely Day

A Poem by Peaches

Loneliness is an emptiness
Sharp needles piercing the soul
Longing for something out of reach
Aching for the once known

I find myself longing
For the innocence of youth
Friends who had not yet betrayed
Still so innocent of truth

I long for one to speak to me
Who understands my soul
To reach inside and hold my heart
And leave it well and whole

Trust is now an empty thing
A puzzle none can solve
I ache with a loneliness
Only touching souls can resolve

About
I've been writing forever it seems. I don't remember exactly when I began but by the time I was eight I had started a collection. I have even got some of those poems and stories still tucked away, to .. more..
