My Beloved

My Beloved

A Poem by Peaches

Ah, such beauty and eloquence has surely undone me.
I swoon under the assault of your poise and charm.
For surely I have never heard words so sweet,
Nor seen thoughts so fluently adorn a folio.
Surely I shall dream sweet dreams tonight,
For the gentry of the past must inspire you.

To dream and yet...
Such dreams would be fraught with images so luscious,
As to cause me to sleep but broken,
Under the assault of such tender words.
Your lips are coated with sugar,
And your words a flowing icing of sweetness.
To sleep, and yet perchance to dream...

To dream of you my love,
For my heart surges with emotion.
Your declaration has aroused my affection,
I shall embrace you and cherish your charm.
All my days you will remain my beloved,
I shall reverie in delight of you.
