Fyfe

Fyfe

A Poem by Whimsy Gonser

I watch the sky
For signs of life
Smog pours down
The laughing fyfe
He sings my name
While grinning grey
No life left here
You knew this day

You saw it once
It crushed your will
No lips to speak
No soul to fill
Flatlined daisies
Plucked up again
A lonesome stroll
To take my friend

The golden rule
Births brittle whims
Once gone, returned
The dreamers sin
Will you remain
In silence, wait
Oh is your heart
Too lost to break
