Closing Static

Closing Static

A Poem by N E. Chase
"

Sometimes you have to remind yourself to fight through.

"
Walls of static quickly closing
Shadows cast upon the light
Chained in darkness I remain here
Fighting shackless to take flight

Through the keyhole visions mocking
Dreaming seems so far away
On beds of shards I'd gladly slumber
To break from this traveling cage

Bitter hopes, hallucinations
Silent anger pushes free
Reaching through to grasp the future
Failure's fear will not hold me
