The friendA Poem by Wheresware
I'll count the days you're gone
I'll sit up and think about you every dawn The joy you've brought me Only if there was a way for you to see I just wish you wanted more then friendship Maybe then you wouldn't take the trip Maybe then you wouldn't be hurting The love I have for you is burning But I respect you to not step over that boundary Though I feel my soul will never be free It wouldn't be fair to blame her Since all she wants for me is the best, I'm sure But if she was mine I'd make her feel like the only girl in the world No storm inside her would make her whirled I promise that I'll always be there I promise I will always care You might be moving a thousand miles away But for you I'll always find the time of day You will always be close in my heart No matter the miles apart © 2017 WhereswareAuthor's Note
