May I have some More?

May I have some More?

A Poem by WhereItResides
"

I can promise you this, you used to bother me. A poem about a bullies words that are now used for motivation.

"

May I have some More?

I can promise you this,

you used to bother me.

don’t feel too bad,

you almost won.

What did you used to call me?

Useless?

Unloved?

Destined to fail?

I can promise you this,

I used to believe you.

I used to cry alone in my room.

As it turns out, I’m not quite that frail.

What happened to you again?

Drugs?

Alcohol?

Jail?

I can promise you this,

I no longer hurt.

I smile once again.

My life has only just set sail.

What does life have in store for me?

Success?

Wealth?

Happiness.

I can promise you this,

your words fuel me.

So, if you don’t mind,

may I have some more?

WIR, This one is priceless. What better revenge than to use someone else's pitiful criticism and use it for fuel to prove them wrong. Some of the best coaches know this trick, unfortunately...and use it in their toolbox. Another great write! Thank you for posting this one..:)

exactly. When people doubt you and put you down, the only way to get back is prove them wrong.

I LOVED THIS. I used to have a verbally/emotionally abusive step mother, so this really spoke to me. This was a great poem and I really felt the emotion behind it :)

A really good poem. The victims should stand up to bullies. If you really did stand up against the bullies, then, well done!
