Draining Away

You were waiting on the brink of devastation

as inside screaming

you were left feeling alone

as you drifted away

 

You commend,

you choose to be here

You command me to be sick

and yet if I were to follow

I would slowly become insane

 

Problems only seem to get worse

as you drain me away

as if it isn't so clear

what you keep on saying

 

'Its okay'

'You'll be fine'

Who can you whisper those sweet lies?

Im broken

I'm empty

I'm dying inside

and you can see it

but no one seems to understand

you are all watching me

as I drain away.
