Broken Dreams

Thinking I could fly

I went on my way

Living life freely, day by day

 

Going along as if nothing was wrong

Going along humming a nice song

Everything was just as it was to be

My dreams were free and as high as the eye could see

 

As fast as day turned into night

There was no more light

No more sparkle

No more shine

Everything was taken away

 

Dreams where shattered like a broken mirror

I still do not know how I got here

I settle for things now, it is sad to say

When will things ever go my way?

 

Is it because of my health?

My wealth or my beauty?

I just want to have an aspiration again

A dream to call my own

 

A dream that when I have accomplished it,

I feel good, I will feel at home

Now, I feel as if I am in limbo

Simply no where to turn

Hoping that there is somethng in my mind to yearn

 

For now I will sit

I will listen

I will try to be patient as well

I suppose only time could ever tell
