OverweightA Poem by Luna ZerimarWhen you can't take yourself, help yourself.
Here I go again.
Chewing the pain away. Swallowing my emotions. The way I eat, How much I eat, What I eat. It shows what's going on inside of me. ...And I'm here thing it's hiding everything. But when I eat, I'm comforted. I feel almost safe. Only, That's when I'm eating. Because the moment I finish eating, The moment I put the fork down, That moment is the moment it all comes back. The pain... The emotions... It all comes back... Every pound holds self-hatred. Every inch is developed by insecurities. It gets harder every day. Being too big for clothes. Getting stared at in public. No one wants to hang out with the fat kid. So I'll bare. Just hand me a fork. I'll eat my pain-filled emotions away.
