I Don't Belong

I don't belong,

I don't belong here,

Or there,

I don't belong anywhere,

I don't fit in,

Not with the cool,

Nor with the uncool,

I can't even fit in the between,

I see families loving each other,

I see friends laughing together,

And I'm just sitting here,

Wondering what I'm doing wrong,

Am I too ugly?

Too boring?

Is it because I'm fat?

Or too annoying?

Is it because I care too much?

Talk too much?

What am I doing wrong?

When people cry,

They get comfort,

When I cry,

I cry alone,

When people laugh,

I'm usually the joke,

When others are happy,

They get to feel the top,

When I'm happy,

I get it taken away,

..And pushed down,

I eat alone,

Sleep alone,

Cry alone,

Laugh alone,

I even hug myself...

Why can't I fit in?

Why don't I belong?

..What am I doing wrong?

Why don't people like me?

Why can't I be loved?..

Why can't I be happy?

So..

With pain in my heart,

I'm writing this,

I'm writing this alone.
