The Puzzle

Pieces missing,

Pieces burned,

Pieces torn apart,

How am I going to figure this out?

Time's ticking by,

I'm growing older,

Joy,

Anger,

& pain holds frustration,

How am I going to finish this puzzle?

It was fine not to know,

How to put this puzzle together when I was younger,

...But shouldn't it be finished by now?

Trying to replace the missing,

Putting the burned in place,

Fixing the torn,

It's not working,

Frustration gets the best of me,

I'm thinking all the work was for nothing,

There's no way I'm going to figure it all out,

It's just a waste of time,

Why am I even trying?

How did I get stuck with this?

Throwing this puzzle will be way too hard,

It's complicated,

I'm not going to tear my head apart,

I know I have plenty of time to figure this one out,

I will figure myself out.

The search for the meaning of life and our purpose in it all is an endless puzzle we will never fully put together, but we take bits of that puzzle to find meaning in moments we experience. A great soul searching poem with great meaning that I believe we all can relate to.

This is truly one of the most honest poems I have read- I can relate. Finding yourself is indeed like trying to piece together a puzzle!
We spend so much time trying to figure ourselves out and where we belong, and I promise one day you will have an answer :)
A famous author of the name of George Bernard Shaw had a very inspirational quote which I think is very true:
"Life isn't about finding yourself, life is about creating yourself"
