Broken Heart

A broken heart leaves you lifeless,

Wishing for blindness,

Hoping to never speak another word,

Cringing at the sound of your breath,

Feelings kill,

Memories make pain last,

You're seeing your heart turn to stone,

You can feel it set cold,

What is it that you hold?

Struggling to keep something that doesn't exist in place,

When things go wrong,

You make it race,

This thing knows the truth,

& the lies,

It knows what is wrong,

& what is right,

The heart is the most vulnerable thing someone can show,

It's easy for you to let it go,

& when it's out there,

Someone can easily turn it into dust,

Somebody else can make it rust,

The heart constantly confuses love with lust,

In the end,

It's something you keep having to fix,

It's something you wish you could get rid of,

Because,

Having a heart can,

& will complicate everything,

It can pick you up,

Or it can tear you down,

It's wearing out,

Why does everything affect the heart?

The heart can be light,

But it could turn dark,

Feeling your heart turn to stone,

It's getting cold,

Feelings kill,

Tell me,

What does your heart hold?

Hearts are able to heal.
Your brain will never forget, did you know that smell is the most powerful form or memory recollection?
The world will go on, and move around you but smell you can re create, like memories, just because one stage of the memory is over doesn't mean that as much as you try you will fail.
A broken heart can be fixed, healed or replanted.
