A Poem For A Mother

A Poem For A Mother

A Poem by Luna Zerimar
"

My mother was always around. In her case, just not mentally.

"
Mother,
I love you,
Mother,
Do you love me?
Mother,
I missed you,
Mother,
Did you miss me?
Mother,
When you were in jail,
I cried day,
& night,
..Even tried to pray you back..
I kept a photo in my pocket,
I didn't want to forget,
I didn't want to lose,
The face of my my mother,
Mother,
I love you,
Love you so much to let you go,
Mother,
Did you realize that you got out of jail three years ago?
Mother,
When you were gone,
Did you guess what father did to me?
Did you not think?
That I wouldn't see you,
See you with another man,
See you two holding hands,
Did you look carefully around,
Before bending down,
& hugged your new daughter,
& son?
Did you think of me?
Don't you think I would've been hurt?
Now you're looking for me..
It takes you a week & four days...
But mother..
You found me dead.
