Wasted Endeavors

So much wasted time & effort I have put into you,

You never gave anything back,

I was there for you in your times of need,

& in your times of sorrow,

I was there when you were half alive,

& alone in the dark,

Not once did you thank me,

Instead, 

you decided to to stab me right in the back,

You turned around & walked away when I needed you,

For my times of need,

& my times of sorrow,

You decided to take me, 

& break me,

You were the one who made all those promises, 

& broke them,

You made me go into a deep depression I've never went through before,

Isn't it funny?

How now,

You're dead?

Isn't it weird?

That even though you put me through hell,

I still cared about you?

You've done so much mess,

Yet,

I kept that place for you in my heart,

I was always just a backup to you,

But I was glad you even noticed me,

I was happy to even give you my full attention,

Now you're dead,

But it's okay by me,

I don't think you & I should've met,

Look at the mess we made,

This is what you get when you put the wrong people together,

You've never understood me,

But in death, 

I still cared,

I have never wanted to scream at you before,

But it's clear that you don't have my point stuck in your thick head,

I'm stuck with you & I don't know why,

I bet this is what fate planned,

But I'll never satisfy it's wants,

...Never...
