A Thief's Treasure

A Thief's Treasure

A Poem by Ada

I binded myself with my own breath
But you stole the air from my lungs
You were a thief taking much more than you intended

How did it feel?
To breath steady breaths..
To have your heart pumping your body alive?

I couldn't escape the feeling of being a creature of the undead
A zombie? A ghost? No matter I was no longer solid

And your mask was mutating and the words you said, actions you provoked
They gave you my love - but you made me a fool

A fool's treasure - was it even valuable?
