Glimpse

Glimpse

A Poem by Wharton
"

She was a hotbed of roses

"

Along the walk
I watched
as roses, red
moved
in rhythm to
the stops and starts
of city window shops--

but then
the light turned green
and I passed
this bounty by...
whose hem flowed,
as she walked
along the garden rows.
