Monophobia

Monophobia

A Poem by Whales
"

Night 5 in the psych ward.

"

Sneak.

Check the room.

Empty.

Dark

Petrified more than any Code Blue.

I'm afraid to shut my eyes because I'm afraid of what’s going to be there when I open them.

She is always awake and watching.

I can't explain my fear.

Chemicals, maybe.

Never off the border of it.

Feet up close

Arms far away

Flash, she walks.

Flash, she's nearer.

Check.

He is behind me, I know it.

Help me, I'm so alone.
