FlickerA Poem by Whales
A light flashes,
I don't know where or why, But you can feel it. And it was beautiful. Shades of purple and whale, For that split second I could feel it. That pain, just goes away and i'm free. I fly away and every direction and the sun, As my body floats away, shines down on me. A wonderful sight if thought about. Through all this sadness and fear in their eyes, In the depths of their minds, They sensed it. They felt it falloping in their spleens and arrow trees. They knew, I felt happy, I hope I flicker and die. Down with the whales, Holding me, hugging me. How wonderful it would be. Candles and wildflowers With whales of sunset and trees of smiles Silver hearts full of bronze buttons and easily pushed but never shoved. The day never ends and I run, Knowing that I am now safe. Safe from the horrors of man and their ideas of destruction I am a whale, with rib cages that stick out and a dip chest. Dangerously thin. I don't care. As long as my Whales are safe.
