Small Automobiles

Small Automobiles

A Poem by Whales

I pulled my heart out
Kicked it through space,
And left it on the moon. 3  6 2 1
But it would not die.

Her face was a statue
Licked by sea salt
Lost in her own labyrinth 3 1 8

My Mind flows like an avalanche
Singing softly through the icy patches of green bicycles.
And small automobiles.

i grasp at the patterns, i wonders at the significance of the numbers three and one and eight

i will circle them like the wheels of green bicycles riding home at supper

Only question I have is how could you have kicked your heart through space if you already left it on the moon? I love that you left it there so I'd replace the second two lines of the first stanza with some of your outer-world imagery. Thanks for sharing, as always!
