Rapunzel

Rapunzel

A Poem by Enigma

Locked high

in a tower

her parents were

dead, a girl once

forgotten,

was to be wed.

The town down bellow was

all sick and red,

the masses all riled

the people burned heads.

But a prince, a prince

chose to climb

past the sky.

To bring joy down below,

to end all the cries.

He grabbed her long

hair and hauled himself high,

determined with might he screamed down

“Goodbye!”

As any prince would,

he wished to find peace,

but the princes,

oh the princess,

was already

deceased.

Just a short piece I wrote last night. I was in a weird mood and this sort of came to mind. Enjoy xo

Surprising ending but definitely, a creative work of art. Sometimes, I think fairtytales, too, should have sad endings. LOL. Too much happy endings is not realistic especially in life. This was great.

Hahaha right? I don't like constant happy endings. So thank you for the review(:

Welcome~ ^^
I thought it was funny how he screamed goodbye. Like he was done with the world outside and was hoping to stay with her inside. Nice ending twist as well.
