The Victim of the PageA Poem by AlexIn every situation there are the victims, and I never minded being this, it made for better imagination, better stories, a stronger mind-set
but it is all dependant on what you're a victim of, I can handle the candlestick people who melt you down like slow burning wax, I can handle gum wrapper boys who toss you away when you're no longer unchewed but I cant tolerate the bitterness of this
the soul I implanted into my writing the timeless hours, thought, courage I put my history on the eyes of the reader and trusted the pages with the confidence I didn't have and from that page I grew I grew in pride I grew in love for myself I never tasted before I grew into worship of the ability of my pen
