And I'm Ready

And I'm Ready

A Story by Alex

Finding a solution is all that this is, I say to myself to tempt my head.

Like an itch that needs to be scratched... no that sounds nauseous,

like a Professor f*****g a university student.

It's got to be done, it's fate, it's the only conclusion to be reached.

Like a lonely, bored housewife and a martini maker,

yes, perfect!

But why do I feel so weak, so incapable.

It's got to be done, its got to be done,

I chant it so it's embedded.

When there is a problem Ed, you have got to fix it.

You have got to fix it for your wife and your daughter,

and your future twin sons.

You have to protect them, it's your f*****g job.

Her obsession had driven us to this,

stood on her lawn at 3.27am on the dot.

I'm 7 minutes late  on my end of the bargain.

She isn't right.

She is wrong.

I conclude this,

and I'm ready...

Very interesting little story, and the fact that much of the background is implied rather than explicitly stated really helps add to the ominous tone. I'd love to see more writing like this. Keep it up!

Thank you so much for the review! I appreciate your comment :)
Ok, there is so much going on in here, so much responsibility and all, I have no idea how to speak to it. There is so much responsibility, perhaps it seems like too much pressure for one person, but each person can only do so much here, this character with his daughters and future twin sons, it's like a lot of persons to be considerate and providential, not that anyone can be all the time, but it really stretches a person you know? It's really frustrating why everybody's social situation strata so different
