Bathroom Floor

Bathroom Floor

A Poem by Alex
"

On average, 2 women a week are killed by a current or former male partner.

"

he leaves her on the bathroom floor

with bloody rag of lip and jaw

when he returns with an intoxicated arm

he uses it to conduct more harm

once on the bed she begs for demise

as he routinely accuses her of lies

she gets ripped and gnawed and cold and dirty

I have no choice but let him hurt me

Author's Note

Alex
I wanted to write a realistic piece on the beautiful women who have to endure abuse and sexual violence.

Thanks for reviewing, glad you got the message of the poem :)
A very sad poem. I have known woman who accepted violence. It always got worst till they had to depart the bad place. The poem is written with a realistic view. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

You are welcome. Parent must teach their daughters. Don't accept abuse.

Perhaps parents should teach their sons that they should never abuse women instead.

I agree. I taught my daughter defense and my son to respect their sisters.
