Siren Call

Siren Call

A Poem by WesJade

Now here comes the siren call

Luring you to better days

Of toil and play

The illusionary song to make you fall

In slumber and lazy ways

To stagnant stay

A melody trapping you behind the wall

Of an unending phase

In a gray dripping day

The heralding hymn of deadly pall

Swaying you in amaze

Till in death you lay

Arrived is temptation's siren call

Heating you up in a blaze

Beneath the depths where above the foams spray

Yes here is the siren call

That brought you to better days

Of thrice times toil and meager play
