Animal Attraction

Animal Attraction

A Poem by WerTherBeDragons
"

To be approached...

"

He stood,
Motionless.
Intelligent; deep, brown eyes - survey me,
Friend or foe?

Ears flick,
Inquisitive.
Nostrils; flare, steaming - scent me,
Considering options?

Edges forward,
Courageously.
Muzzle; soft, gently extends - toward me,
Whinnies a greeting.

Really nice! Sounds like you don't do a lot of non-rhyming poetry, but I didn't even notice it didn't rhyme. It's great as it is. :) Horses are so intimidating xD

I liked this a lot. But horses scare me a bit!

Appreciate you liking it since I find it more tricky not to rhyme - must be the way my brains wired.. read more

Rhyming verse is more my thang, usually inspired in-the-moment & often when out in the 'wilds'. Also, draw on life experiences that leave a lasting impression! I enjoy the 'magic' of life - the wonder.. more..
