Cast your eyes

Cast your eyes

A Poem by WerTherBeDragons
"

Seeking hope in 'dark' times...

"
Tis in the darkest moments...
When one is all alone...
Speculation rises;
Is one going to drown?

Yet cast your eyes out yonder...
Hear the birdies sing...
Watch them preen & flutter,
This is the joy of Spring.

My soul is all a kilter...
I often fear to falter.
Crushing, heartbreaking...
An end is wished for.

Yet cast your eyes out yonder...
A brilliant, yellow crocus blooms;
Such vivacious colour,
This is the joy of Spring.

How doth such polar opposites arise?
They swither in my breast...
Mind & body; a game o'war.
For what; is the question unanswered...

Yet cast your eyes out yonder...
Blue sky's & peachy heavens radiate;
There's beauty all around...
This is the joy of Spring.

Hmmmm...Dragons, I didn't know you got this dark! I like the struggle at the centre of this...it feels real. It's easy to get caught up in psychodramas, harder to cast the eye farther afield and see that there's a beautiful world out there. A great sentiment. Loved it.

This has a very upbeat, sing-song feel to it (in the best way). I really enjoyed it.
