Grassroot Gallows

Grassroot Gallows

A Poem by St. Ajora
"

Poem content inspired by a dream. Written for an assignment in college using 20 unfamiliar vocabulary words.

"

Beyond eternities congenial garden
Beyond the aegis of He,
Lieith a place of conflagration
Which knows not amnesty.

The tellers of malicious, cogent lies
Inhabit this virile prison
For what is detrimentally flawed, that mankind's law
They suffer eternal division.

Slaves of the world rue lives gone remiss,
With hatred, lust, and greed
Lethargic sages his terse kiss amazes
Know they will never be freed.

It given to them, they proudly ignored
Lead by the whims of desire
Never evinced aversion, blind to the truth
Forlorn. Due to imbibe liquid fire.

For each blade of grass a loved one has passed,
Into the burning mire
It is at great cost that those have been lost
To the shadows of the hollows.

For whats been advised you would be wise
To follow obedient to He
Lest you would stray, on the last day
I'll see you in Grassroot Gallows.

Kudos on all the educated words. It was interesting and held my attention even though I wasn't entirely sure what it was about, but I still liked the flow of it
