Blue Carpet

Across gentle curls of the sky blue carpet a sharp sensation made me flinch in a yelp. I removed the soldier figurine from the sole of my foot, walking limply for seconds to toss it among the freshly scattered hill of cheerful plastic, still lukewarm from small palms and crayon-smelling fingers.

My momentarily burning flesh gladly found the ceramic floor; cool, opposite to its wood-brown shade and clear of dust and crumbs under the thin strings of afternoon sunlight.

In my marginal eyes, the mound of toys adorning the corners of the blue carpet shouted and gurgled and chuckled in every color.

Great imagery, makes me want blue carpeting :P

A toys revenge for the future of being forgotten.

I like the imagery, could see the same thing happening to me, could see me leaving that toy there myself when I was young.
