The Maze of Your GhostA Poem by YouoweYoupayI'm disappearing...
The Maze of Your Ghost
You're unbelievably good at avoiding my pleading gaze
And the louder I scream the faster I fade into haze
You say you don't hate me but I know if I were an enemy It would kill me more gently..
Atleast, I would exist in your pitch black eyes
My tears will be no longer a captive of waiting for your forgivness That I have decided.
I'll pretend I never knew you I'll pretend I didn't break anything or wrestle the pounding pain within
I'll walk through you too even though, everytime I try to I end up in a maze of remembering your everyday smile
I try to rinse your scent off my skin and I curse the morning I wake up with the portrait of you in my head
I will forget you. I will forget you. I HAVE to forget you. and you will vanish leaving my misused smile in peace
But first...I need some sleep and a new untainted dream in which your memories decease .. © 2010 YouoweYoupayAuthor's Note
