My Mind My Break

My Mind My Break

A Poem by YouoweYoupay
"

Whenever you can't think of something to think of

"

Whenever you can't think
of something to think of

Stop.

All that hasty fumble
through the scatters
of what has become
of what might be

Keep it burried
that mound
of smothering fumes
The people to pelt
blame or love at
And sins to repent

Keep them burried
well quenched
behind a wall

And keep it hidden
that blotch
of impending bless (or curse)
the bridges to cross
and prickly pebbles
to trip over

Keep them hidden
in that gypsy's
crystal ball

Stop.

None of that
lucid wording
or slick handeling
of life's swindles

Do not look
for that cloud
in the spaces
of your mind

Let it discover you
as you lie there
gazing up

Let that blemished
downy cloud
pass over you
to wash you
with its content

You don't need
the least effort
to tear it apart

You wish for it.

Wish for the sound
of its waters
fusing with earth
to be the only tone
heard (for now)

Wish for the drizzle
to be the only tickle
down your stale skin
(for now)

Stop.

Let this feeling
of your lips curving
in impulsive delight

and this feeling
of your cheeks vaguely
coiled in dimples be
the only knowledge
you momentarily need

Repetition was amazing, use of parentheses was excellent. Word choice was incredible. Nice job.

Excellent, oh, young and wise one. Choose to live life with no regrets, don't be one of the time wasters, those who are always locked in the futility of regret, always moaning "I shoulda, coulda, woulda"

Bravo! I love this thought provoking write. It took me away to another land, losing my self in that place that writers all go to.
