Garden

Garden

A Poem by YouoweYoupay
"

I only they could see what I have seen

"

Your hand
I can feel its touch
Certain as heartbeats
Warm like the summer rain

I’m not afraid but sometimes,
I hear them give a name
To the promised garden
Where we will meet
Death, they say

But the name sheds its meaning
When I hear from you
Every once in a while

They would not have invented
These morbid words
If they could see
What I have seen

Your face in the palm
Of a sunflower
Your smile
An emblem
Of tranquility
Dignity
Under His Protection

I really enjoyed reading this piece of poetry of yours. It resonated with me on both a spiritual and human level. I also liked this line in particular

"Your face in the palm
Of a sunflower"

That is such a beautiful image I felt. Thank you for sharing your poem with us.
