Oh I get it. It's a riddle right? Let me see....... Venom is important so its a poisonous animal. The sand and logs line suggests that it's small. People like to get tattoos of it apparently. I think I will guess.... A Unicorn! That has to be it, it's the only thing that makes sense.
Congratulations on another splendid poetic work. I happen to be a Scorpio myself, so I thoroughly enjoyed reading it naturally. Keep up the good work and when will we get another Dreams chapter?

Unlike the first ominous impression people have of Scorpions, there's alot more uncovered beneath this splendid creature's stealthy, shady moves and universally feared sting. I've read more than once and was interested in the general personality analysis of people born under this star. Glad you enjoyed this little piece. My mind has been occupied with midterm exams and my light-blub of prose-inspiration has been dying on me lately. F**k that. But I will eventually, hopefully soon, get back to working on the next chapter. I hope you've been well. ^_^
I was bit on the leg by a scorpion once . . . it was many times more intense than a bee sting, but still, it wasn't as horrific as I expected. The intense burning faded after an hour & then I forgot all about it. I couldn't have known your poem was about scorpions, had I not read your back-and-forth with StarNinja, which I found very enlightening. I don't remember ever knowing a Scorpio, but it was interesting to read about them. Even tho I could not get this poem at all, I love the idea of doing a riddle & I felt you offered big bold hints for those in the know (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
I really like the last line of this poem. I think it closes the poem very well. There is a stanza when the Scorpion is talking about reeking of death and something being more venomous than it. I wonder if it is a human who they see as a threat or another predator like a snake that is waiting to eat them...another well done poem.

I was station in Africa, Asia and South America. A Scorpion is a fearless spider.
"You, my dear friend, reek of death
As strongly as I do,
And you petrify limbs, pollute blood veins,
And spoil hearts with venom
More artfully than I do."
The above were my favorite. Best to keep your distance from predators. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
