Fundamentally, will they try to appease their older crowd (who showed up in droves) or even attempt to change to game to make it less appealing to adults and  much more (or only) appealing to children?

For me personally it is not even that, it's that the next onwards profiles have limited abilities. This f****n blows and stopped me from getting the match. Otherwise I would've loved to share an island with my husband.

It is not perfect, but it actually does not hamstring you like you think/people say.

Yeah, if the two players were equal owners and may"progress" the island evenly, it would be OK. I have it and my daughter would be the island owner so there's really nothing I can do unless she goes and does the quests.

This is obviously not a sport designed toward the majority of individuals on this sub. I don't really understand all the hating given most folks here didn't play with the previous ones or obviously are interested in a game that isn't Animal Crossing.

I don't think that has been the gist of the criticism in any way. Folks have critiqued the game for the ways that it deviated from the old games, not because the AC formula isn't for gamers. For example: making the games increasingly more centered around the participant and not as much round the villagers, together with less conversation variant, less varied behaviors, the ability to control who comes and goes, etc..

There's still content that has yet to come out for ACNH, '' I don't believe we could say it's not the same when we have not seen everything they are going to release yet! Sure it sucks that some of the cool furniture from the other games isn't in it yet, but I expect that can come later as store upgrades happen and whatnot.

Why can not they release it all from the start? That's the thing that I am unhappy about. I liked the 120 hours I put in the match and got out until its flaws started bothering me a great deal, but that was before even paintings had been inserted and with how slow it's to get paintings I feel as though I wasted a great deal of  time playing it beforehand. The only thing this launch schedule/scheme has done is make me want to not play for like 2 decades and pick it up as it seems like a complete game.
