Deserted

Deserted

A Poem by Loui SE

Far fetched voices caught in one hand,

chasing choices disappearing in drying, wet sand.

Distant drums rumble slowly into my conscious mind.

To each task I stumble leaving the last one behind.
nothing at stake
nothing to loose
you give what you take and you earn what you choose.
I wait for the break trotting to the steady groove,

as I sternly await the incoming news.
Not knowing what I'm missing I am uncomfortably confused,

indifferent about the outtake I am awkwardly amused, as
I spot a curious plant shape in the distance of the noon,
approach the tiny mandrake teasingly blossoming in bloom,

ignore the obvious mistake, bend down and consume.
Ready for the result of my intake I lay down and inflate setting my lungs a tune and as I exhale I pray, I sing, I swoon hoping that suggestions can bring good fortune.
Tired I vividly await the crescenting moon, waning and waxing in circles.

I am confident that it will all be whole soon.
