I read your first chapter. It's really great and has a lot of potential, but I was thinking halfway through about some missing info in your chapter. How old is Brandy? What is his last name? And it might also be of more interest if Brandy has a pet, like a yellow lab, who at one point saves him from drowning in a river or something. Otherwise, really great start. :)
