Friendly People

Friendly People

A Poem by Waylon Sloan

The world is full of unkind people;
Murder, crime, self-righteousness;
It doesn't matter, people will pull the same deeds;
We all have many different creeds.

We have that select few, the light-hearted;
What people call "Suck-ups" or "Fake;"
Everyone in life has someone light-hearted;
You just have to look.

There may be a cure for the wrong-doing, the greed;
They need someone light-hearted;
Maybe if we show we can live in harmony;
The big guy in the sky will let us live for an eternity.
