This is so sad. My interpretation of this poem is one of which the person this is aimed towards has become a monster. Some one completely different than the person the speaker used to know...and despite what they've become...the speaker still sees the one they used to know and love. It's pitiful. A job very well done and a definite favorite of mine. This is short but VERY powerful....
