Timeless

Timeless

A Poem by Wavesnotwar

If to someone the gift is granted, to live a thousand lives
and then a thousand lives more
Why not me?
why wont i be chosen to take watch of the lives next door?

To live with the sun and revolve like planets
my lust for life is stronger than your love for any other
Tangerine daydreams and painted flowers
color me like the lights of every universe-all a different shade.

I think of how it used to be, and i remember a time that never really was.

Will I see it again?

or will it live forever in my gray matter?

My path is not the same
I run around while others walk
And everything i see hits my core with vengeance

But i want to live forever like Bowie
Like a rock star or poet I will live on in your mind

But you will never be able to see me again-

Because the brightest stars don't just burn out
First they engulf in flames
and take with them all the witnesses
