Adventurer

Adventurer

A Poem by Wasteofpaint666

I have built mazes around and around myself to keep people always afar and never too near

Testing and quizzing any suitors that cross my way

All got lost and went a little mad

Despite all of the warnings and signs saying "turn back"

Then you came along

Asking all the right questions

Kissing all the right places

Gently pulling down all the walls and breaking all the locks

Thinking the labyrinth I live in the middle of was unbreakable

You never seemed to break a sweat

Curiosity being your spark and fire

Never really having an end in mind

But knowing there is one

All the while you passing every obstacle in my fucked up head

I swiftly become enthralled by your own Rubik cube of a mind

Begging for more challenges

More riddles

Unbeknownst to us our mazes intertwined and became something all the more glorious

How could two of the darkest minds create so much light and balance is beyond me

But my god it is beautiful

Constantly lost in each others head space

Discounting any previous fears of anyone finding our truer selves

We find comfort in someone discovering the hidden, finally

Just like we always knew some brave adventurer would soon show up
