Cigarette

Cigarette

A Poem by Wasteofpaint666

You’re completely unnecessary

And a little on the dangerous side

A seemingly harmless shell

The stuff that kills is all inside

You don’t hold up under pressure

The paper outside rips

I need you like a cigarette,

Pressed against my lips

Completely unfiltered

An unadulterated dose of you

Short and sweet like never before

It’s one of the things I wanted to do

My love, my critic

Keep giving me tips

I want you like a cigarette

Pressed against my lips
