Sow What You Reap

Sow What You Reap

A Poem by Wasteofpaint666

The blacks and the blues of the bruises your heart shows

Tell where my words hit

And the way that you crumble and fall on the asphalt

Brings me comfort with it

The way that you tug on your heartstrings is pathetically endearing

It pulls me either which way

And the way that I feel when I’m falling to the wayside is

Like the games that you play

Sorry I had to see someone in need of flawless speech and action

Crying in their sleep

Sorry I had to be the one that makes it difficult, but

Someday I will sow what I reap

The blacks and the blues of the bruises your heart shows

Are magnetized and they’re pulling me close

And the way that you crumble and fall to the asphalt

Is like another big dose

The way that you tug on your heartstrings is pathetically endearing

And sympathy shows itself here

And the way that I feel when I’m falling to the wayside

Leaves me no room to steer

Sorry I had to see someone in need of flawless speech and action

Crying in their sleep

Sorry I had to be the one that makes it difficult, but

SOMEDAY I WILL SOW WHAT I REAP
