Haunting past,regrets and things we not proud of

Fears
Echoes of our desparate cries
Expression of desparation
Masks we wear to hide our true selves
Cause we all have demons

Imperfections
Wrong paths we take searchin for the broken pieces of our hearts
Lost in translation
Lost in time
Words we wish we never said
Nightmares we awake from
Cause we all have demons

Mirrors we avoid to face
shameful pasts we run from
Prospects without promise
We haven't arrived yet to that hopeful place
We try, we try so hard to fight the fact that
We all have demons...

We do all have demons. You never know someone's story until you can walk a mile in their shoes.

The word "searchin" here makes this piece seem more like a song or like spoken word than a poem-nothing wrong with that! Just analyzing.......
