HomecomingA Poem by Alexander DillonA poem about coming home, fall, homecoming, and nostalgia
Dark nights turning cold and brisk.
Damp leaves scattered on the earth Fill the air with their sweet fragrance. Familiar. Homecoming. A signal of End Times. When all that matters Is today's exam, tomorrow's practice, your date to the dance. Homecoming. A season where Immediacy ruled our lives. Every athlete striving for championships, But communally experienced and represented in one game: Homecoming. © 2021 Alexander Dillon |
