Blue Ink

Blue Ink

A Poem by Alexander Dillon
"

On the nature of things.

"
Blue Ink
I write these words on
Crisp white paper with blue ink.
     Yet,
I am the ink.

My soul is
A clear, tranquil, and
Still mountain lake.
A reflective glass.

You ask,
"How are you?"
The thumping of your heart;
The answer.

Dividing walls
Are made of brick and mortar.
The politicians don't know.
We are all brick and mortar.

The bluebird sings my song.
Ants build my colony.
I give birth to forests.
Moonlight is in my bones.

I am
The poet, the poem,
The son, the mother,
The soil, the tree.

My lifeblood is blue ink.

This really was a profoundly beautiful, touching piece and like a daydream of enchantment for me to read and take on board Alexander. Such amazing flow of words, and images held within it. That really touches the heart, mind and soul. And even indeed the spirit within. Deeply meaningful, sincere and how mankind has to take stoke and look out for nature the environment and the world in general around them. Then to just close their eyes and hope all last forever. As we are part of it. And have to be the keeper.

Breathtaking......utterly sublime. Can't quite figure out the purpose of Stanza 3 - doesn't really seem to fit into the overall theme, although in itself is utterly profound (the semicolon is a bit jarring, though, given it seems like the last two lines are connected more directly). But on the whole, holy kwap! this is a gem. Well freaking done!
