Alex,
I enjoyed your poem, I found much truth in this work. I am 64 years old and have lived a full life surviving many mistakes. I can relate to your words, having lived them. You are a wise young man.
Peace,
The last line is a beautiful revelation, though I also like the stanza before. The phrase "unforeseen route" is also a really nice way to end the stanza, where the reader's mind can take a ride forward in a great way.
Though not a criticism in any way, I'd suggest thinking about where you stop a line and start a new one and what *you* in particular like or focus on to change to a new line. Perhaps something in your poetic tone is what prompts you, or perhaps you like a certain aesthetic on the page (er, screen), etc. You have a really great rhythm.

Wow I really like the message of this! It’s encouraging to think that although we may stray from our ideal paths, our wanderings will not be pointless, for they teach us about ourselves and who we want to be. Thanks for sharing!
