Forever 13

Forever 13

A Poem by The Warrior Poet
"

This is for my son and it's sad so skip it if you don't want sad. But I finished this up from a freewriting I started last Christmas and felt the need to complete it for him.

"

Forever 13

Every minute, every day, throughout the year,

I play the game to get through.

I roll the dice...

I move my piece,

but every space I land on is “Missing You”.

When I meet you in Heaven

and we talk about your wings,

will you be grown or be as I remember?

Will you ever be who you would have been?

Or will you be as I remember forever… 13

Author's Note

The Warrior Poet
I understand the philosophy of spirit and soul and I do believe in an absence of physical manifestation and appearance in Heaven - as we know it here. Please spare me the lectures - thanks.
