My Memory

My Memory

A Poem by The Warrior Poet
"

This was written on the fly - SPECIFICALLY for the Creative Poetry group using these words: predestine, endowed, enlightened, lilting, mystify, elation

"

Whether through fate or random chance,

Predestined path or happenstance,

My Memory endowed me with images from my past.

So as I stood at the crossroads staring,

Not knowing the way (not really caring),

My Memory enlightened me - I remembered my way home at last.

But as I walked with a lilting stride,

I stopped for a moment mystified,

Bad situation, no drunken elation,

My Memory had failed me as I realized I was lost.

Ooh being drunk and lost is not a good thing and then add in bad memories make for a dangerous situation. this poem was written very well and you use the words posted for Creative Poetry group in a unique way. this poem is one that others can relate to. Everyone has had an experience like this at some point. the flow of this poem has a natural flow to it. Great job.

Very creative to be able to use those words in a poem. I enjoyed the flow and the story line to it surely made it better. Wonder if it'll ever find its way home.

I really like this one, you perfectly described the memory. I also like the way it flows and rhymes.
