that your drumming heart might hear me.

 

For my eyes see

by the light of your soul

that through your beautiful words consoles me.

 

If you will feel,

then give me your hand

with the softness of your body against me.

 

For I smell,

still, on the icy air,

the flowery scent of you near me.

 

If you will taste,

then give me your lips

and let the passion in your soul eclipse me.

 

For I will dream

of your eyes, your lips, and your soul,

and from this day forth hold them dear to me.
