TwilightA Poem by The Warrior PoetI wrote this poem as a Junior in high school (1985) when we were told the freewrite about "Nature"Twilight Shattered sunbeams, smashed to brilliant splinters of the blinding solar light, Dying, flickering tongues of fire slash the landscape burning bright . The day's last breath exhaled in dark blue slivers, dancing shadows, haunting, ashen figurines of light... Douse the flames with darkened splendor, Dies the day and rises night.
