I (The center in HumanINature)A Poem by The Warrior PoetThis is just a thought...I (The center in HumanINature) This universe forces us to be self-centered - especially our society. I is the center of socIety I is the center of “The UnIverse” The English language capitalizes I but not them, they, you, her, she, we, us, him, he, etc. On an airplane we are instructed to put on our own oxygen mask first before we help others. Infantry soldiers are instructed to don their own gas masks before even warning others of a gas attack. We give presents to people on their birthdays and on other holidays and we give presents to children. Do we do this to make them happy? No. We do this because it makes us feel good that we can make them happy. We say “God Bless you” to people who sneeze. But we don’t do it to represent them to the Lord as if we were requesting they be bestowed a Heavenly blessing. We do it because it is expected and because we feel good about ourselves doing it. And to prove it " how do feel if you say that to somebody and they don’t say Thank You? Let a person out in traffic today? Feel good doing it? Thought so. What if they didn’t give a little wave or Thank You of some kind " Thought so. We, as a race, are self-centered by nature. But don’t worry about it. Oh, and it’s also Human nature to disagree with me.
